Retaining all the charm of the original, an increase in power and torque thanks to its 125cc engine helps keep the Super Cub ahead of city traffic; its automatic centrifugal clutch has also been upgraded to match the output boost and give ultrasmooth, quiet gear changes. The frame has been optimised with a tuned rigidity balance that maintains the Super Cub’s famous usability. Longer travel front and rear suspension, 17 inch cast aluminium wheels and disc front brake deliver a supple, confident ride with strong stopping power. 125cc FUEL-INJECTED ENGINE
Nobody can match Honda’s reputation for engines, and even though the Super Cub is relatively compact, it’s a giant in terms of performance and reliability.
FOUR-SPEED SEMI-AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
The Super Cub features a four-speed semi-automatic transmission that you shift with your left foot, like a traditional motorcycle. But here’s the unique feature: there’s no clutch to worry about—you just toe and go.
This is one of the key design elements which made the original Cub so popular. The new Super Cub’s step-through design incorporates frontal bodywork to help shield you from the wind and road splash. It’s not only super convenient, but makes it easy to get on and off the bike.
Our front-wheel Anti-Lock Braking System (comes standard on the Super Cub) can be a big help in making controlled stops in less-than-ideal conditions, like on wet pavement or other compromised surfaces. The new, rally-style LCD instrument panel position has been revised to allow the rider to see all ride modes and information clearly at a glance, night or day, on the road or on the dirt, even from a standing position.
Looking good to go
The sharp and focussed features of the Africa Twin, integrates super-bright, twin headlights with full LED lighting and a bright tail stoplight at the rear. The LED indicators have a new warning stop function in case of a hard stop. In an emergency, they’ll flash to warn road users behind.
Suspension that works for you
You get excellent performance and control from the 45mm SHOWA cartridge-type inverted front fork. They have a stroke length of 230mm and are accompanied by the Showa rear shock, which allows 220mm of axle travel; both are fully adjustable with rebound and compression damping.
Pipes and power
The revised 2 into 1 exhaust system not only sounds good, as you roll on the power and increase the revs, it looks good too. Combined with a modified airbox on the intake side, the mid-range response is better than ever.
